Heritage Hotel was born as a member of the select elite of 5-star luxury hotels of the capital and forms part of the prestigious French Association Relais & Châteaux, being the second to do so in Madrid. The hotel has been entirely decorated by the renowned interior designer Lorenzo Castillo, winner of the 2014 AD award to best designer among others, who wanted to dote the hotel of an urban, cosmopolitan, and eminent atemporal character that escapes from the temporary trends.
The hotel’s language is classic in appearance, playing with a surprising mix of cloths, colors and noble materials, such as lacquered woods and polychromed marbles, that perfectly combine with the ample velvet sofas, wallpapers hand painted with 18th century French techniques, and curtains with embroidered trimmings which exude a fresh and eclectic air that serves to house the magnificent collection of antiquities and European 18th and 19th century artworks.
Among these works there is a green marble 1830’s chimney in the entrance upon which rests a Luis XVI style clock. This welcome is accompanied with an imponent neoclassical roman torso and a magnificent painting of Charles III from Meng’s first pictorial era as a clear homage and inspiration of the Madrid villa, revendicating its abundant artistic and cultural patrimony as well as its traditions and gastronomy.
